Gallery Pictor では2023年7月15日(土)～8月4日(金)まで、花沢 忍ソロ・エキシビション《こころに川を》を開催いたします。
今回のプログラムについてお話をするために、藤沢の小さなカフェで会った花沢は、紺色のセーターを着て、前髪をピンで留め、まだ大学生のような、もっと言うと少女のようなあどけなさでした。初めて向かい合って話すので、多少緊張をしていたのかもしれませんが、基本は遠慮がちに話しながら、時々顔いっぱいに笑いました。
その後、ポートフォリオに収められた絵と、2022年の初めごろ（世界がコロナウイルスの蔓延や戦争の勃発に翻弄されている只中）に花沢が書いた詩や日記のような文章とを交互に眺めているうちに、本人がステートメントに書いているように、彼女は「自分と世界に真剣に向かい合って」生きている人だということが、だんだん分かってきました。
同年8月に開催した個展「あさをまつ人」、また今年5月の「The day that you burned the night」（いずれもBambinart Gallery）では、騒然とした世情の中で、人間の心の闇をのぞき、揺れ動く自分自身の闇にも目を向けました。
身の回りで起こる出来事を、それが身近なことであっても遠く離れた国のことであっても、花沢は「私たちの世界で起こっていること」として全身で受け止めます。
だから、キャンバスに現れる風景は詩的でファンタジックであっても、それは彼女個人の閉じられた空想世界ではなく、むしろ私たちの現実世界と密接につながっています。
本展で花沢は、自分のこころの中に流れる川を感じながら制作しました。
ゆらめきながら動きつづける川は、時間の隔たりや空間の隔たりを超えて私たちを運び、つないだと思ったら、また引き離していきます。
軽やかに流れる川を表現するため、これまであまり描いてこなかった水彩画に挑戦しました。また、本展のために書き下ろした詩「こころに川を」も会場に展示します。ぜひご高覧下さい。
アーティストステートメント

2022年からの私は、直接的な意味での「あそぶこと」から大分遠くにいたような気がする。制作そのものや、自分と世界に対して真剣に向かい合い、時間におわれ、黒い絵と明るい絵の両極端を振り切れながら交互に描きまくり、ちょっと気が狂いそうだった。（それはそれで最高だった）
心はいつもなんとなくハイで、少し重くて、真剣で、「現在の世界情勢」とか「げいじゅつ」なんてものを眉をひそめて語っちゃうような、そんな感じだ。
だから、《あそぶものたち・すさぶものたち》という展覧会のテーマは、ちょうど今の（2022年から2023年春現在の）私にはぴったり、というか、必要そうな言葉だと、直感的に感じた。このテーマが、まるで神の啓示のごとく、「お前はちょっとあそべ」という風に、無理矢理にでも私と私の作品を、良い意味で揺り戻してくれるような気がしたのだ。

天気の良い日にアトリエを大掃除して、真っ黒だった床を白くして、今までの絵を片づけて、油絵具と約１年分の油絵具がのってぐっちゃぐちゃになったパレットを片づけ、ずっと挑戦したくてできなかった、さわやかでやさしい素材たちをアトリエに集めた。
もうすぐ夏だよ、というような暑い日で、開け放った窓から少し強くて黄色い日差しと、涼やかな風がとおって、床に張った白いシートがふわふわ波打った。
アトリエにも、こころにも、透明で、美しい川がながれたような感覚だった。

花沢 忍 略歴
リリカルで物語性のある世界観をもち、生命の有り様や死生観を描く。絵画を中心に 詩やパフォーマンスにも表現の幅は広がる。近年の個展に ‘The day that you burned the night’ (2023)、 ‘あさをまつ人’ (2022)、 ’あふれる’ (2021)、’ディティデペンデ’ (2020、いずれもBambinart Gallery)。シェル 美術賞2017 能勢陽子審査員賞 受賞、第19回岡本太郎現代芸術賞(2016) 入選。Bambinart Gallery 所属。

花沢忍 × カニエ・ナハ トーク&連詩会
「川をめぐる対話と詩」（栞のおみやげ付き）
7月23日(日)に、花沢忍とカニエ・ナハのトーク&連詩会を開催します。今回の個展でこころに流れる川をイメージした花沢。またカニエも近年、川を映画館に見立てたドローイング作品を発表しています。前半は川と制作にまつわるトーク、後半は2人でアドリブの連詩に挑戦します。後半の連詩には、観客の皆さまにも参加していただけます！連詩会の後は、栞づくりのワークショップがあります。みんなで作った連詩を栞にしてお持ち帰り下さい。
We are pleased to have Shinobu Hanazawa Solo Exhibition A River Flowed in My Heart from Saturday, 15th July through Friday, 4th August.
Hanazawa, whom I met at a small café in Fujisawa to talk about this program, was wearing a navy blue sweater, her bangs pinned back, and still had the innocent appearance like a college student, or a little girl. Perhaps she was a little nervous because it was our first time talking face to face. She spoke reservedly, sometimes with a face full of laughter.
Later, I looked at the paintings in the portfolio and read the poems and diary-like writings that Hanazawa wrote around the beginning of 2022 (in the midst of the world being tossed about by the spread of the coronavirus and the outbreak of war). I gradually came to understand that she is a person who, as she writes in her statement, lives her life “seriously facing herself and the world”.
In her solo exhibition Waiting for the morning in August 2022 and The day that you burned the night in May 2023 (both at Bambinart Gallery), she looked into the darkness of the human heart in the midst of the turmoil of the world and also into her own darkness.
Hanazawa accepts with her whole body the events that happen around her, whether they are close at hand or in faraway lands, as “things that are happening in our world.
Therefore, even though the landscapes that appear on her canvas are poetic and fantastic, they are not her own closed fantasy world, but rather are closely connected to our real world.
For this exhibition, Hanazawa created works while feeling the river flowing through her heart.
The river, which continues to move and shimmer, carries us across time and space, and when we think it has connected us, it pulls us apart again.
In order to depict a lightly flowing river, she tried her hand at watercolor paintings, which she has not done very often in the past. In addition, a poem written especially for this exhibition will also be on display.

Since 2022, I feel as if I have come a long way from “playing” in the direct sense of the word. I was seriously engaged in production itself, in myself and in the world, pressed for time, alternating between the extremes of black and light painting, and going a little crazy. (And it was a great experience.) ….
Shinobu Hanazawa Short Biography
Hanazawa has a lyrical and narrative worldview, depicting the nature of life and death. Her range of expression has expanded to include painting, poetry, and performance. Recent exhibitions include The day that you burned the night (2023), Waiting for the morning (2022), Overflow (2021), Depende de ti (2020, all above at Bambinart Gallery). Awarded Jury Yoko Nose Prize at Shell Art Award 2017, selected for the 19th Taro Okamoto Comtemporary Award 2016. Belongs to Bambinart Gallery (Tokyo).
